Our Story

 

You don’t often come across a jewelry company with a non-traditional name like Black Dog Jewelers. Why are we named that you might be wondering? Are you a dog jewelry store? Well, we wish, but no. We are a real people jewelry store that offers high quality jewelry and professional jewelry services in our store in Central PA and nationwide online. So why are we named Black Dog Jewelers? Our family has always been a dog family. Sixteen years ago, we adopted a black rescue dog which we named Winston. We wanted to find a way to give back to the local no-kill dog rescue who rescued him, so we designed a special silver pendant that we started selling online, with all of the profits going directly to the dog rescue. Our family has been in the jewelry business for several decades, specializing in jewelry design, repair, manufacturing, and sales. When the rescue pendant took off in popularity, we thought it was fitting to use that momentum and our jewelry experience to start our own jewelry company. Black Dog Jewelers was born.
